You can use them to go forward or backward. The skills of the ninja are lined up on the bottom-right corner of the screen. Among these skills are the slashing sword, the shuriken, and the ability to turn into an object. Making high jumps is also one of Arashi’s skills that you will to perform. Each skill has its own button and gets activated when the button is tapped.

Some of the skills in this ninja game have a cool down timer. For instance, the slashing sword skill can’t be used for a few seconds after being used. You will have to wait for the timer to be over before you get to use that skill again. The ability to turn into an object also has a cool down timer. However, the shuriken and the jumping skills don’t have these timers. You can use them as many times as you want without having to wait a second. The goons you will face on your way to Orochi’s hideout have their own defenses. You need to upgrade your skills from time to time to ensure that you can kill them.

Ninja Arashi offers you three different maps. All of these maps have mesmerizing backdrops. The death traps become harder and harder to navigate in each map. You will have to learn how to get past them using trial and error method. Do remember that you only have a few lives available to you. If you die during a stage three times, you will have to restart the stage from the start. You can earn gold and gems by destroying containers and killing bad guys respectively. The gold and gems will be needed to upgrade your ninja skills. You will need to seek out gold scrolls in each stage too. These scrolls are needed to unlock new maps and move the story forward.
